From Stock to Stunning — Fin’s Golf Mk4 Build

 

Fin’s VW Golf Mk4 started completely stock.

 

Now it’s a head-turning build with Airlift air suspension, a custom exhaust, and an interior that looks great.

 

Using our black stretch suede. Fin re-trimmed the centre console, glovebox, and door cards, giving the cabin a smooth, modern finish. Next up: the headliner and pillars to complete the look!

Looking for inspiration for your next interior project?

One of our customers, , recently upgraded the panoramic roof visor in his Peugeot 207 GT.

Using our charcoal stretch suede to complement his existing grey headliner.

The result is seriously impressive.

He originally tried another supplier but wasn't happy with the quality or texture. After switching to our suede, the contrast and finish spoke for themselves.

Nick owns a BMW 435i M Sport twin turbo. It’s the real deal !

He looked into having the interior re-trimmed professionally.

The quotes came back: Minimum £250.

So, he decided to give it a go himself. He started small — door handles, centre console. As his confidence grew, he moved on to the main job: re-trimming the entire dashboard.

No prior trimming experience. Just a bit of patience, the right material and a good spray adhesive. The end result? A clean, professional finish — and an interior that matches the look and feel of the car.

“I get a smile when I look and know I did that. I’m really pleased with it.”

Nick left us a brilliant Google review. He’s chuffed with how it turned out — not just the finish, but the fact that he did it himself.

Moses carried out a star light and headlining re-trim. He used our black stretch suede for his headlining.

He gave us a little insight into the process.

“Hey it went really well. It’s good quality material.

I poke it with a fat needle and then pass the fibre optic strands through the headliner.

They are poked through and cut flush against the suede “

The luxury finish of suede works really well with star lights.
