About us..

Alpaca sol was created by Emma and Amy, two friends who share a passion for travel and fine fabrics.

It was during extensive travel in South America that Emma discovered alpaca and was impressed by not only the beauty of the wool but also the quality of the craftsmanship. In La Paz Emma met Maxima and Reynaldo, two local artisans who's skills had been passed down through generations, and who’s enthusiasm for their art was inspiring.

Over the past five years, Amy and Emma have worked alongside the family collaborating on designs and ideas. It is the time spent together during these trips that has enabled a firm friendship to form.As the business has grown, so has the network of artisans, each bringing their own unique textile traditions and skills.
