Axkid Upā„¢ļø is designed to grow with your child from 100–150cm, helping position both smaller and older children optimally for the vehicle’s safety systems.

With the market’s lowest forward-facing seating position and optimal seat belt positioning across the hips, Axkid Upā„¢ļø continues to provide protection all the way up to 150cm.

Because child safety shouldn’t stop when they grow.

There is a difference between the legal minimum and best practice.

Across Europe, UN R129 requires rear-facing travel until at least 15 months. In Sweden, authorities and traffic safety organisations recommend keeping children rear-facing much longer. Transportstyrelsen says children travel safest rear-facing until around four years and recommends rear-facing for as long as possible, while NTF recommends rear-facing to at least 4–5 years, preferably longer.

At Axkid, we follow the Swedish recommendation because we believe best practice should guide design and advice, not just the legal minimum. For us, that means helping children stay rear-facing for as long as possible.

A child’s body isn’t just a smaller version of an adult’s. Their head is proportionally larger, their neck muscles are still developing and their spine is more vulnerable.

That’s why rear-facing car seats offer the best protection. In a collision, the forces are distributed across the back of the seat - reducing strain on the neck, head and spine, and significantly lowering the risk of serious injury.

At Axkid and East Yorkshire Car Seats, we always recommend keeping your child rear-facing for as long as possible. šŸ’›

🚚 AXKID SHIPPING UPDATE 🚚

There are currently delays at the Axkid UK warehouse, meaning orders are taking 2+ weeks to reach retailers. Delivery to customers may then take a few extra days depending on stock and courier times.

If you ordered an Axkid seat during Rear-Facing Month, your order may be delayed depending on the model and colour chosen.

Demand during Rear-Facing Month has been extremely high, and retailers are limited by the stock arriving from Axkid UK.
We are doing our best in the (very hot and sweaty) circumstances we are in.
Thank you for your patience and understanding ā¤ļø

If you plan to order before the end of May sale, please keep these delays in mind.

You can still purchase at sale price until close of play on 31st May šŸ’š

18mph.

That’s not fast.
That’s a quiet street. A quick errand. A routine journey.

But at that speed, a crash has the same force as falling from an upstairs window.

And without a car seat?
There’s nothing to stop that fall.

Data shared by Brake and Child Accident Prevention Trust shows that even low-speed collisions can cause serious injury - especially for children.

And yet these are the journeys where protection is most often skipped:

ā€œThe taxi is only 5 minutes.ā€
ā€œWe’re on holiday, it’ll be fine.ā€
ā€œIt’s just a coach trip.ā€
ā€œWe’re not going far.ā€

But crashes don’t check how long your journey is.
Or where you’re going.
Or whether it’s convenient to use a car seat.

They just happen.

Short journeys. Different vehicles. Same risk.
