Inspired by my need to always find unexpected beauty in everyday things. The items I create are always unique and one of a kind. I have yet to make the same thing twice. I started Red Ribbon 5 years ago as a school project. I have used it to learn and grow and find myself. I have attempted things I would have never attempted thru building this page. I have now been in Magazines, walked runway show

s, even been in a book or 2. All because I needed to learn how to use Social media as an older student who had only been in a mom up until she decided to attempt a degree Fashion Design. I was unable to finish my schooling due to my husband and I getting pregnant with our son, I was deathly sick and our son was born at 26 weeks. We had a 86 day NICU stay and by the grace of whomever you believe is in charge up there, we brought home a perfect boy. I however did not go back to school. But I had discovered a talent that has grown into a passion. I continue to learn and develop it in any way I can.

3 years ago my husband was killed in a car wreck on his way home from work. I used Red Ribbon and our dream of what it could be to save my life and my sanity. I have since bought a 1964 Ford Econoline custom van and turned it into a mobile boutique. The goal is to be up and running in the fall of this year. This page is used to highlight my own work and that of others I value and enjoy. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some amazing talent all over the world just because I started this page. I look forward to what the future holds.

This moment in time feels like it requires stating where you stand.

So, while we have been dormant due to health issues , make no mistake we are absolutely tuned into the state of the world.
So,
In case you didn’t know….
We stand with our immigrant community.
We stand with our friends of many colours.
We stand with our LBGTQ+ community.
We stand with those fighting for democracy.

We stand AGAINST this entire regime.

Been quiet here for far too long.
Not been myself in a minute.
Detached.
Unwell.
Angry.
But
Ya know what,
Sometimes all you need is a good sunset to give you some clarity of mind. A change of attitude so to speak.
Sunsets show the light in a different way don’t they.
Similar to a sunrise in its vibrant colors and brilliant sky art, but with the feel of an ending, a looming darkness that is unavoidable.
You know the dark is swallowing the light up,not by choice, but by nature.
It is a cycle that can’t be broken.
When the light is gone, it’s dark, this is the way. Without one you can not have the other.
However, the darkness can be revealing,it can teach us things the light can’t.
It awakens different senses, some like fear and anxiety and caution and danger, but others like curiosity and imagination and connection to other things that go unseen.
Flecks of light not seen during the day that remind us, even the darkest skies sparkle.
Even beyond cloudy skies, light exists in darkness.
So,
As darker skies seem to be swallowing us up everywhere we look right now, look for those that sparkle.
Look for them and know, that dawn always comes again, and those that sparkle lead us through it.
Our love goes to those that need it most right now.
We’ll be your sparkle.

Been so quiet here due to some massive health issues. But behind the scenes work is still being done. Slowly but surely.

3 months ago I had surgery for , diagnosed with stage 3 after being in constant excruciating pain for the last 3-4 years. It’s been quite the battle and has taken its toll on every aspect of my life.

3 months post op and I feel significantly better, still healing and battling some lingering pain issues but overall feeling much better.

The times I feel up for it are being spent building some “for hire” stock pieces like this mini chair.
Great custom pieces for photography or special events.

Feels good to create again.

Realised that I have been quite silent lately!
Things have been crazy here, the chances are I have
This condition can steal your entire life, the pain is chronic and severe.
There are days I can not even stand up straight let alone get any kind of creative work done.
Thankfully I am scheduled for surgery on April 16th. If all goes well I will have a proper diagnosis and maybe get some relief from this madness.
On average it takes 10 years to get diagnosed with endometriosis, there is no cure and treatment is very rarely helpful. The myth of it being solved by birth control or pregnancy is shockingly wrong, not even a hysterectomy can “cure” you. Endometriosis is a chronic illness that affects your entire body. There is little understanding of how is spreads and why.
It can destroy your other organs like your kidneys,bladder,bowels, lungs, heart and lesions have even been found in the brain.
Endometriosis is in the top 10 most painful conditions, yet there is very little relief even with medication.
This condition affects 1 in 10 women and no 2 cases are the same.
So, as I await my surgery and hope for the best outcome I have been slowly working on some small things.
Looking forward to warmer weather as well so I can get some gowns photographed and maybe get back on track.
Spring is the season of renewal and rebirth, may it bring with it all the goodness!
