Here's what's happening this week...

We're trying out different opening times Mon-Wed this week, so Spun will be open 1-8pm on those days. If it's a success we'll stick to these hours for the rest of August & September.

Thursday is a Thing with music, boardgames, community and general socialising with your weekend Spun friends. Of course the cherry on the Thursday cake is the absurd drinks deal... every drink 5-7pm get's the same one free 7-9pm!

After their world tour earlier this year, that took in Chichester, Brighton & London, the Spunrise DJs are back on home soil on Friday 7th August!
Spunrise is where we take you on a trip back to the golden era of music from 1988-1992 where Indie & Dance collided and Acid House became mainstream Pop.
DJs Matt Flinders & Our Man in Cairo dig deep into their vinyl collections to bring out the groovy, the ravey & the baggy!

On Saturday we're celebrating the world's most iconic drum machine , the Roland TR 808... it's the 8th of the 8th month, see what we've done there!?
Kurt Baggaley (Scape 1) , Andy Shaw (Artificial Arm), Rob Euroh & Matt Flinders play records in the many dancefloor friendly genres that feature the machine.

After a monumentally brilliant & busy weekend we're back for more action this week!
(Thanks to everyone who came and made Chains of Love, Disco People and Mike Pappenheim & Friends such special occasions!)

This week...

Friday is the bi-weekly Spuntaneous Jam. If you don't know what this is yet then you're missing out! Afro, Latin & Funk based grooves played by a smorgasbord of musicians and co-ordinated by percussionist Sean Quinn. DJs Yinka, Spun Rob & Matt Flinders play records in between the awesome innovative live jams. A unique South Coast night! From 7pm

Saturday morning 9-11am... "Worthing’s first-ever Polite Ravers Coffee Session is here… and entry is FREE!
Forget the late nights. We’re bringing you feel-good house music, great coffee, positive energy, and a dance floor full of people starting their weekend the right way.

We're proud to say we've booked Mike de Courcy & Lloyd Attrill to play at Spun three more times this year. After a fantastic debut night in April, they're back on Saturday August 1st to bring us more soulful dancefloor vibes. Taking in REGGAE - FUNK - SOUL - JAZZ - LATIN - DISCO... their musical recipe is the perfect fit for Spun.
Kicks off at 7pm... Can't wait for this one!

We're celebrating the world's most iconic drum machine on 808 day...the 8th August!

"Me n some pals were invited by Rob Watson at Spun Records, Worthing to celebrate the Roland TR 808 drum machine on the 8th of the 8th month, so I've managed to persuade Kurt Baggaley (Scape 1) to hit the turntables one more time and play an Old School Electro set… this’ll be amazing as he has an incredible record collection and an encyclopaedic knowledge of music. He joins myself and Spun regulars Matt Flinders and Andy Shaw (spinning under his artist name Artificial Arm).
We’ll be looking at and celebrating this famous drum machine’s influence on genres and music in general, some of it on the pop-ierside, some of it more 88-90 warehouse rave and lots of early Hip Hop and Electro, not to mention also Scape 1, myself and Andy will be playing some of our own releases too.
Its gonna be a special one and is running from 4pm onwards at the excellent Spun night spot here in Worthing" - Rob Euroh
