Well it’s Friday folks so that must mean it’s time to join in with hosted by the fabulous 💐

Today I’m shining a spotlight on a beautiful transfer ware platter manufactured by the historic German manufacturer of luxury ceramics, Villeroy & Boch.

Part of their ‘Burgenland’ collection it features a landscape scene framed by delicate floral borders. A useful or decorative piece that’s simply beautiful💙🤍

Measuring a generous 40 cms x 26 cms and in perfect condition.

Joining in with the wonderful for with today’s theme being ‘Eccentric domestic’.

In amongst a box of plated silver ware I recently purchased, I found these beautiful salt cellars or pinch pots complete with the tiniest sterling silver hallmarked spoon.

Placed at every guest’s setting at the dinner table of the gentry, these dishes once acted as both functional serving vessels and important status symbols as salt was once a highly prized and expensive commodity! Who knew?!

Maybe a bit eccentric nowadays to have one next to your fish and chips although I do think they’d be pretty handy for when you fancy a boiled egg!

A vintage weathered and rustic looking Welsh road sign featuring bilingual text: ‘FFORDD BREIFAT’ (PRIVATE ROAD).

Hand painted onto a piece of metal and mounted onto a dark wooden backing board.

Measuring 44 cms x 25.5 cms and in nice condition.

New in today and straight off the van!😅

A vintage enamel bread bin in a cream finish with distinctive green trim and lettering. A bit of nostalgia from the 1940s or 1950s (or possibly earlier), perfect for adding a vintage farmhouse vibe to your kitchen.

Definitely worn in places so hoping it will be acceptable for today’s ‘worn and weathered’ theme hosted by the fabulous

It’s in good clean condition but with some wear as shown in photos. A lovely compact size measuring approx 32 cms (H) x 28 cms (W) x 18 cms (D).

I finally got around to cleaning and photographing this handsome vintage painted chest of drawers I bought 2 weeks ago!

Probably late midcentury it was manufactured by Harris Lebus London who were prominent British furniture manufacturers in the 20th century.

Painted in a cream/off white shade with simple, traditional round antique brass effect pull handles. Two deep drawers for lots of storage and some lovely details like the subtly shaped gallery rail along the back edge. Perfect in any room!

Measuring 92 cms (W) x 67 cms (H) excluding the gallery back & 41 cms (D). In very good sturdy condition with some minor imperfections.

I’m loving all the pics and videos on here of foxgloves at the moment including the ones at and They’re one of my favourite flowers and underrated in my humble opinion. I love seeing them out in the wild on the dog walks as we’ve currently got none in our own garden. It’s on the to do list!

So imagine my delight when I spotted these small Carltonware foxglove dishes yesterday, I knew instantly they were coming home with me! I won’t mind if they don’t sell for a while as I’ll get to enjoy them on my dresser at home! Perks of the job!

Joining in (a bit late!) with the fabulous for

Today’s theme is ‘Print and pattern’.

A difficult decision as to what to choose today but I’ve settled on some vintage Dragon pottery from Rhayader, Powys characterised by its rich earthy painted stripes and sgraffito detail.

And of course I had to add some iconic vintage Welsh woollen tapestry shown here in the form of placemats.
