🐰 Spring has arrived! I am trying add in a pop of colour into the house! So i quickly whizzed this up before picking the rascals up from nursery this afternoon! 🌼

🌼 Perfect for Spring 🌼

With Spring just around I wanted to make something for me (albeit this is a toile so i think I'd definitely line the bodice next time round to give it a bit more structure), but it's the perfect dress for those lovely spring days and I finished in time to wear for Alfred's Christening! 💕

I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this fabric! We've got some super special events coming up, so I am hoping this dress will fit the bill! The colour reminds me of Cinderella too 💕 ✨️

Wearing this quilted waistcoat feels like wearing a ray of sunshine, perfect for the arrival of Spring! 🌻 I'm itching to get into the garden, we've got lots of lovely things to get growing! 🌱

💫 Waistcoat in progress 💫

We are in the depths of the 8 month sleep regression 😴 but finding some solice being back the machine again! Anyway, I'm currently working on a quilted waistcoat, it's very bright and definitely going to bring me joy when wearing it! And i have enough fabric to make a mini one for Clara!🌸🌼🌻

Now the question is... do I add pockets? With a ruffle...

💫One of my goals for 2025 is to sew a little more sustainably and to create a wardrobe that
1. feels like me (something I have felt a little detached from since becoming a mum to two under two) and 2. Create clothes that I feel great wearing (something that I've really been struggling with).

Anyway...

I made this blouse from a table cloth I picked up from on Yarm Highstreet (for £1.49!!!) and downloaded this utterly gorgeous pattern from .xo Etsy shop. It was such an easy make for a beginner sewer or someone looking for a quick project! Now, to make a gingham one!

🎁 Clara's Christmas Dress 🎁

Handmade with so much love here is Clara's Christmas dress adorned with all the trimmings, ruffles and vintage lace sourced from some vintage tablecloths given to me by my Granny - they came all the way from Russia! I had so much fun giving this fabric a new lease of life and making it into a beautiful Christmas day outfit, complete with a hair bow too! ✨
