Traditionally, tailoring relies heavily on wool because of its natural elasticity and ability to be moulded by heat and steam. However, heavyweight cotton brings a completely different, highly appealing aesthetic and functional dynamic to a tailored wardrobe.

While lightweight cotton wrinkles if you so much as look at it, a hefty 580g cotton twill, like this bespoke jacket, behaves entirely differently. Thanks to pure gravity, that substantial weight pulls the fabric down into a clean silhouette, giving you the structure of a traditional suit jacket but with the rugged soul of workwear.

The best part is that it ages beautifully.
