We won’t be with you in August - our fabulous volunteers are taking a well earned holiday and we’ll be back in September at Tang Hall Community Centre . We’d love to see you with your broken things. We’ll be well rested and ready for fixing 🔧💪🚲📻🧵🪡. Don’t forget you can still visit the fantastic York Food Circle market every Wednesday and Saturday over the summer and also enjoy some of Jim’s amazing food.

This DAB radio arrived with a faulty D.C.barrel socket where the power supply connects. The centre pin was making intermittent contact. The connection had become loose and now it’s as good as new.

These jeans arrived with a tear in the crotch with a gaping hole 😢
After some visible mending (hooray a customer was happy for us to have a go at this technique 🙌) now they’re ready to strut their stuff.

⭐ TRex journey ⭐ 🔧 From croaked to roaring
This TRex toy arrived with heavily corroded battery terminals. After a clean up and replacing with new battery terminals he’s now back feeling himself. He’s ready for collection at our next session and hopefully isn’t too scary.

⭐️North Face jacket journey ⭐ 🪡🧵This jacket arrived with poorly pockets. We all love pockets! But not those that fall apart at the stitching and you’re carrying their contents all around your coat.
Luckily with some cotton fabric reinforcement and some hand stitching they’re all back in action.
