GUTTA SOLES Custom premium African couture footwear line of Accra, Ghana. Handmade from recycled materials. GUTTA SOLES was established in 2012 in Accra, Ghana.

The company's initial intention was to design a shoe that was durable enough to handle surface conditions in Africa. Our reason for founding the company was as a means of organizing income for the artists and our brand as a community based organization. Our founding principle is economic independence by means of natural creativity.

Since 2012, GUTTA SOLES has existed as a business model that puts most of its profits from sneaker sales back into the community….We weren’t legally a philanthropic organization, until 2019 when The Gutta Soles Foundation was officially registered and commenced operations in Accra, Ghana…. As in all “developing countries”, In Ghana there are extra challenges in doing business and getting your paperwork in order….We persevered through these processes alongside Felix Agyapong and his team, and we were able to get it done….Now, in 2024, our renewal process is complete!….Intention and ambition are what drives our cause; I’m proud to say that we never strayed from the path we started on….”Gutta Soles….Changing the world, two soles at a time….”….Forward! ♻️🇬🇭

Gutty is made of repurposed waste and has a superpower!….It’s using waste as a resource!
….Always hungry for waste to upcycle; even Gutty’s sneakers are made from recycled car tires and recycled scraps of fabric!….Gutty’s cape is made from recycled plastic sheets and embellished with Adinkra symbols from Ghana….Gutty loves all kids, animals, beaches, forests, deserts, and oceans…..
Gutty loves to make Gutta Soles belts, sneakers, slippers, bags, t-shirts, hats, and jackets with trash….Gutty sells these items to help kids with disabilities go to school and to organize beach clean ups, as well as assisting single mothers who need a helping hand….
Giving back to the community is very important to Gutty, so doing social projects and getting support for The Gutta Soles Foundation makes Gutty happier than anything else 😃

After 11 years, we decided to create a few pieces of limited edition apparel to go with our shoes!….. GUTTA SOLES apparel will now be sold via email, and using PayPal to transact([email protected] / PayPal: Gutta Soles Foundation)….Our online store will start carrying these items in 2024…..Every piece features our beaded label branding, and can be ordered with footwear to match….This t-shirt is made with 100% organic cotton that was sourced sustainably and produced ethically.
We tapped into our booming creative community in Accra and brought in Kevin Bmore, the founder of NVNT STUDIOS ….He effortlessly captured the essence of our brand and created the shoe designs on all of our t-shirts 🙌🏿

The last phase of our street trials have been completed and we’d like to proudly present to you the Gutta Soles slides that are handmade from 100% recycled Ghanian tires!
As stated in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health; “Tire wastes represent 10 percent of overall microplastic waste in the world’s oceans.”
