A small object with a big story.

An avid matchbox collector, Andria designed these collectible matchboxes in Mexico City as part of our Merging Myths collection—a celebration of the shared artistry and cultural dialogue between Greece and Mexico.

Created in a small family-run factory using Mexico’s traditional pop-art matchbox decorating techniques, each piece is finished by hand with metallic-painted edges and adorned with a carefully selected vintage Greek travel poster. The result is a keepsake that honors craftsmanship, heritage, and the beauty of collecting.

Created as a ‘Do not disturb’ door hanging for a hotel in Paros, this colorful, traditional Greek, oversized komboloi, is perfect to hang on your wall, lay across some books on your coffee table, or place it on your bedroom door when you’re in for a long night of Sappho readings.

The komboloi can traditionally be seen used by Greek men in the kafeneio or coffee shop, to while away time, and tension. Vintage glass beads are accented by solid brass beads, hand-strewn on leather cord, and accented by a solid brass mati (evil eye) to ward off evil spirits.

Meet Leopoldo. Born from wool, laughter, and a little bit of magic in the highlands of Chiapas, this rare white jaguar traveled by sea and followed the north wind all the way to Athens. White jaguars are said to be omens of luck and guardians of dreams — and Leopoldo, with his midnight stitches and confident stride, is both.

He now rests at The Anthologist Ark, alongside chimeras, dolphins, and dragons, each one handmade, each one carrying its own mythology. But Leopoldo holds a special place: he was the favorite creature of Stella, Andria’s mother, and a nod to the very first stuffed animal Andria dreamed of as a little girl in a toymaker’s shop long ago.

Children swear he moves when no one is looking. Adults feel braver in his presence.

Some stories find their way back to us — often in the most unexpected forms. 🤍🐆
