The DYPA School of Clothing and Sewing is a two-year secondary school, where a significant part of the education is practical training for trainees in TCLF businesses. The -fees of trainees are covered almost entirely by DYPA.
The School is the only one operating in Attica and there is another of the same type in Thessaloniki.
The aim and the relevant preparation of the presentations of the intervention at the METASKILLS presentation were:
1) to inform teachers and trainees about the sector, the prospects, the nature and the requirements of technical professions in clothing production
2) to ensure continuous communication between the school and the businesses in the sector in order to ensure the interest in the practical training of the trainees
3) The joint (school and business) effort and coordination of actions to attract new students to the school.
During the presentation, printed information material on the professions in the TCLF sectors was shared (promotional product of METASKILLS project), there was a discussion about the possibility of creating a related school for the footwear manufacturing sector, and HCIA decided to offer to the school's library important books, technical studies and sectoral archives useful for both teachers and students.
