In 2003, she is appointed to oversee the Creative Department of the “Kourbelas Knitwear”, her family business established in 1971 with specialization in handmade knitwear, and she presents her first collection under the name IOANNA KOURBELA. The Ioanna Kourbela Female & Male Exclusive Collections, as well as the timeless BASICS Collection come to life and comprise the main creative axis of the company. Following, the development of the sur-mesure bridal WHITE Collection introduces IOANNA KOURBELA to the haute couture market. Focusing on values of local production and end-to-end responsible production chain, the company employs more than 43 employees who share a common line of aesthetics but also a commitment to quality.
