This is one of the finest Opus Ones to date, offering a dark ruby/purple color, as well as a striking, intense bouquet of sweet licorice intermixed with blackberries, cassis, plums, and saddle leather. This seamless, full-bodied wine is more velvety-textured, opulent, and succulent than past vintages. The mid-palate is expansive and chewy. The long finish is filled with glycerin, ripe fruit, and sweet tannin.

The high-ranking Château Margaux winery is located in Bordeaux in France. More precisely in the Médoc, which is now divided into eight appellations in which wine is grown. One of these appellations is Margaux, which includes not only the municipality of Margaux, but also the neighboring villages of Cantenac, Labarde, Arsac and Soussans. Selected dark berries on the nose, underpinned by herbal spices, to***co and liquorice. On the palate, Uwe Schiefer's red wine is rich in extract with dark berry fruit. The Blaufränkisch from Eisenberg impresses with considerable substance and a salty minerality, delicate hints of slate. Elegant tannin, orange zest on the finish, tea notes also in the aftertaste.

Elio Grasso 2015 Barbera D'Alba "Vigna Martina"

Very dark and fruity in the glass with blueberries, dark heart cherries and fine vanilla, cinnamon and dark chocolate. The wood aging is noticeable, but at the same time harmoniously integrated. This is really a Barbera of stature.
