The world-famous avocados that originate in this small colonial town are such a staple of the local diet, the "Antigüeños" are affectionately referred to as Panza Verdes, or Green Bellies. We can't get enough of them!

Believe it or not, the now-ubiquitous California avocado originated in Guatemala.
