A BLOG! Because I presume that people who come to this site to look at clothing created from traditional Guatemalan cloth would have some interest in Guatemala, in learning to live in a foreign country, the advantages of speaking the language, and perhaps how a woman of 70 could move to a foreign country on her own and find a way to exactly the life she was meant to live......and perhaps interest in creating a helping organization on your own or starting your own business..............because I presume some interest in dialoging about all these things, I'm going to link a blog I began in 2004 and am continuing now. Interested in looking at some clothing item on the TLC Clothing page?? I'm on my way to California on 7/27 and will be there until the 2nd August. A short trip----no time for a benefit event, and I suspect it's still to soon for that.) But if there's something you're interested in that is with me now in Guatemala, or stored in Vallejo, I could bring it to your house or other meeting place, and you'd have a chance to try it on before committing! This would also help me fund Creando Mi Futuro's infrastructure, as we've lost a lot of ingress during the covid period. Take a look at the fb page - TLC Clothing - and let me know!!

New one-of-a-kind item. We have made several kimonos from this "Tibetan" kimono pattern (Folkwear). Each is unique in appearance because of the fabric combinations we use. This one is more formal, more elegant.

HOW TO FIND CLOTHING ITEMS?: FB seems to like to keep one guessing, but I think I'm catching on. Just below the initial page-management stuff (which MAYBE is not visible to all) are PHOTOS. You'll see six and if you tap on each you'll see details, size, price etc. If you tap on one of them (they keep switching which one), you'll see another 20 photos or so, with details. If you scroll to the bottom of all my various comments and some from interested persons, you'll come to the CATEGORIES (tunics, pants, etc.) that used to be featured first thing. Good Luck! and thanks for your interest. (We are working on a regular webpage for these products. LIFE TAKES TIME!!!)

We've found a way to get our products to you using Ethical Fashion Guatemala's DHL services. Depending on how many items we send at the same time, it could be as low as $10 per item.

HOW DOES THIS PAGE WORK? Look through all our photos, page after page of great-looking clothing, with details of fabric, size, and price. If you hit the VIEW SHOP button it will take you to our wesite Atitlan-tlc-clothing-designs.company.site or message me on FB (Mira Talbott Pope) or email me at [email protected] to talk about availability. If we currently have the item in Vallejo CA (my permanent address), we can mail it to you (and it may be ON SALE!) If we have it in stock in Guatemala, we have to add a $10/lb shipping charge. We can make any of these items to order. Just email me and give me your measurements, and we can talk about fabric, send you photos of the fabric for your approval, and we will get to work. This part is collaborative fun - you get to be part of the process. But it takes more time, obviously. You can pay through PayPal, or by sending a check /to my bank (I'll provide details.) The line from the plackets on either side of the opening continues around the back of the neck. Casual, easy; dresses up anything you wear.
