I wanted to be a designer when I was a child, it has been a dream job to me. I started learning visual art while I was studying Caritas Fanling Chan Chun Ha Secondary School. I learned some basic design research and analytical skills in it, and planned to study design. I learnt from one of my secondary school teachers that CBCC is a worthy place to study design, because their design culture and teaching focus more on design thinking, rather than just technical skills. Finally I joined BTEC HND in Graphic Design at CBCC.
In CBCC, Integrated Project was a great chance to learn working with other design disciplines. This project needed to meet real clients and understand their needs, and it was helpful later in profession. Joining the design team for CBCC Design Week was another good opportunity. I designed this event’s invitation materials and worked for other graphic item productions, a real life project experience for me while studying.
I joined University of Portsmouth’s BA (Hons) Graphic Design top-up degree offered here in CIHE. It was an important step for me. I needed to think more about applying findings from research into design. In my final project, I needed to understand the cultural aspects behind Chinese weddings, which enlightened and inspired my design scheme. It was a really great experience.
I am currently a graphic designer and a master degree is my future goal. And this learning journey has contributed a lot to walk towards my dream.
我小時候想當一名設計師，這對我來說是夢寐以求的工作。我在明愛粉嶺陳震夏中學學習視覺藝術。我學習了一些基本的設計研究和分析技能，並計劃學習設計。我從一位中學老師那裡得知，CBCC是學習設計的理想之地，因為他們的設計文化更多地關注創意思維，而不僅僅是電腦技能。最後，我加入了CBCC的BTEC HND從事平面設計。
在該課程中，綜合項目是讓我知道如何與其他設計學系的學生合作的好機會。因為這個項目需要滿足真正的客戶並了解他們的需求，這對我的職業很有幫助。加入CBCC設計週的設計製作團隊對我來說是另一個很好的機會。我設計了本次活動的邀請材料，並參與了其他平面作品的製作，這對我在學習過程中的真實項目生活很有幫助。
我加入了朴茨茅斯大學（CIHE）授予的平面設計（榮譽）文學士學位。這對我來說是重要的一步。一切都比以前的更加深入。我需要更多地考慮將研究結果應用到設計中。在我的最後一個項目中，我需要了解中式婚禮背後的文化方面，這啟發了我的設計方案。這真是一次很棒的經歷。
我目前是一名平面設計師，獲得碩士學位是我未來的目標。這次學習之旅為實現我的夢想做出了巨大貢獻。
