Sometimes clients come with a sketch.
Sometimes with a photo.
And sometimes simply with an idea of how they want to feel.

This piece began with a birthday celebration approaching and the desire for something elegant, comfortable, and personal. Something my client could move in, celebrate in, and truly feel like herself in.

She was drawn to one of my previous designs, and from there, we developed something new around her, her features, and the occasion.

That is often my favourite part of the process: taking a feeling, an idea, or a small starting point, and shaping it into something you can actually wear. ✨

Later, a client ordered the same design in pink for a Chinese New Year event, giving the silhouette an entirely different personality.

A costume designed to reveal itself through movement.

Created for Lai Yee’s performance, the silhouette combines references to traditional Chinese clothing with contemporary lines and gold panels that gradually appear on stage.

The Signature Kimono was inspired by a 1950s silhouette, elegant short cape jackets worn over dresses, simple in shape yet incredibly refined.

I reinterpreted the idea through more contemporary fabrics and reversible designs to create a piece that feels both effortless and distinctive.

After a client brought one of her silk scarves to turn into a wearable kimono, I started exploring the idea further with other colours and prints.

There is something really satisfying about giving a beautiful scarf a new life, especially when the pattern can finally be seen, instead of staying hidden once tied around the neck or wrapped onto a bag.

Some pieces are just too beautiful to wear only one way.
