Hai Hai Design was born during a moment the world was forced to slow down. It began as a quiet act of love — a mission to protect the extraordinary skill of Moroccan artisans whose craft had been passed down for generations, yet rarely seen beyond their own streets.Each pair takes one to two full days to complete by hand.
Not a production line. Not a template. One artisan. One pair. Hours of patient weaving with natural raffia — a fibre pulled from palm leaves and shaped with a precision no machine can learn. The soles are crafted from upcycled bulldozer tires, given a second life. The leather, from Morocco’s ancient tanneries. Nothing wasted. Everything chosen.At its core, Hai Hai Design exists to make the invisible visible — to bring the quiet mastery of Moroccan craftsmanship to the streets of Hong Kong, so that the hands behind every pair can finally be seen, valued, and worn with pride.
