新年前，除了給媽媽親手造小香風背心，也用美國fleece料，給爸爸量身製作了一件保暖外套~~🫰🫰

最初，沒有想過給Fleece外套加內裡，不過，跟學生上堂時，她們談起穿fleece料的經驗，學生們異口同聲都說，穿fleece外套時，時常會起靜電😲，我自己沒有遇過，但細心一想，何不加一層柔軟網布造裡，讓爸爸穿得舒適點呢？！🥰🥰🥰

I not only made the sleeveless jacket for mom before CNY, I also made a bespoke fleece jacket for my dad as lately, he is getting sensitive to cold temperature. Hope this daughter-made fleece jacket can help warm his body as well as warming his heart~~😘😘😘

There is an interesting story behind the scene. At first, I didn't prepare to line the jacket. 🤭🤭 However, some students told me that it was quite often they got static cling when wearing fleece outfits. 😲 Indeed, I didn't have such experience myself. Anyway, in order to create maximum comfort for my dad, I added a layer of mesh lining inside. 😘😘😘🫰🫰🫰🫰🫰

同學仔之間，經常有互動，尤其是對於別人的布料🤭🤭和款式🫰🫰，總覺得“隔離飯香”🤣🤣🤣~~學生見到同學仔的一件用Liberty of London Tana Lawn 造的雙面背心，立即說“好靚喎”、“好輕好薄”、“我又要”~~🤣🤣🤣

學生坐言起行，立即訂Merino wool 鋪棉，選兩幅心水Liberty 布，給自己也造一件雙面壓線雙面穿背心~~🥰🥰 經過最近密集式的雙面壓線特訓後，學生已經能自信滿滿地、靜靜地、專注地，自己完成她的作品了~~👍👍👍👍👍

I found that there are frequent interactions between students. They are often attracted by the fabrics or styles the others are working on or wearing. 🥰🥰

One day, the student saw a quilted sleeveless jacket a classmate was wearing. She couldn't take her eyes off her. 😆😆 It was light, thin and cosy. The student exclaimed at the spot that she needed one for herself too~~💃💃💃

The student ordered a big pack of Merino wool batting right after the class. She also chose two pieces of Liberty of London Tana Lawn for the project. Made this double qulited reversible sleeveless jacket accordingly. 👏👏👏 After an intensive quilting training, the student now can do quilting quietly, concentratedly and confidently~~🤟🤟🤟 Give a big hand to yourself please~~👍👍👍👍👍

農曆正月初七人日，先祝人人生日快樂！！❤️❤️ 身壯力健！！🫰🫰添福添壽！！🫶🫶 喜樂年年！！🥳🥳🥳

新年前我給自己新嘗試，用手上的一幅不足七十厘米的小呢絨，用製作Chanel外套的方法，給媽媽造件保暖小背心🤗🤗🤗。什麼是Chanel外套的製作方法？就是表布和裡布要壓線相連，裡布全是用手挑的，比較多裝飾細節，有的還會在衫腳加上金屬錬…… 我就用僅有的粗花呢，小試牛刀，給我媽媽量身縫製這件公主線小香風背心~~🥰🥰🥰

媽媽總喜歡閃閃的衣服🤭🤭，我就給她襯上金鈕扣、金屬辮鞭裝飾🫰🫰🫰，最後，還用原裝布自己開嵌線鈕門，真的充滿挑戰又滿足感爆燈💪💪💪，媽媽還說“好啱身”~~🥳🥳🥳 給我可愛的媽媽，要精靈活潑呀~~🥰🥰🥰

On the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, it's regarded as the birthday of all mankind. Wish everyone of you a great birthday today!!🫰🫰🫰

Before the CNY, I urged to take on a new challenge of making a Chanel inspired jacket for mom. 🤭🤭 What's a Chanel-style jacket? It is the kind of jacket that is made out of tweed or boucle fabric. The main features are the qulited lining, decorative braid trims, and chain weighted hem.🤗🤗🤗 I took a little piece of tweed (less than 70cm😳😳) I had on hand to custom make a Chanel-style sleeveless jacket for mom~~🫰🫰🫰

My mom loves all sorts of blinking and flashy decorations on garments.🤭🤭 I chose to have golden metal buttons and golden braid trim for her.🤗🤗🤗 Lastly, I dedicated my first time bound buttonhole making to mom too. 💃💃💃 It's a bit challenging but fun. I had a great sense of achievement!!🤟🤟🤟 To my lovely mom~~🫰🫰🫰

繼續分享學生的新年作品~~🫰🫰🫰

最近，學生們都對夾棉背心感興趣，尤其是雙面壓線，好像“越困難越受歡迎”一樣🤭🤭，要挑戰自我，找求那種難以言喻的滿足感~~🥳🥳🥳

這件雙面穿雙面壓線夾棉背心外套，是學生給家姐親手造的🫶🫶🫶；一面用上北極小熊圖案🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️，另一面，是華麗的William Morris 圖案布。一件衣服，可以可愛又可以高雅，家姐什麼場合都可以配襯穿著~~🥰🥰🥰

製作雙面壓線外套，需要好多手針配合，耐性、韌力、腦力當然也不能少，學生不斷和衣車溝通、互動、認識，逐步掌握雙面壓線的技巧👏👏👏👏👏，這衣服好漂亮啊~~👍👍👍 家姐有一個充滿愛、充滿祝福的馬年~~🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Quilted jacket seems to be a very much hot item on my students' to-sew-lists. And most of them tend to be fascinated by double-sided quilting. 😲 They seem to enjoy taking challenges. 🤗🤗🤗 It's indeed always joyful and satisfied to overcome something difficult. Glad that you guys love to embrace the challenges and advance the skills. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

This double-quilted jacket is made by a student for her elder sister. 😘😘 One side's print is full of adorable polar bears, while the other side is a grand floral print from the William Morris'. 🥰🥰 So the student's elder sister can wear it during the CNY and also treat it as a daily wear. 👍👍👍

Double-sided quilting requires lots of handstitching, blasting and accurate matching between all panels. The student had a long time communicating with the sewing machine and creating the even stitches.🤗🤗 This is beautiful!!🤟🤟🤟 It's like a sign that your elder sister is blessed and loved!! Wish you all a fabulous year of the horse!!🫰🫰🫰

其實，大部分製作都是學生在家裡完成👍👍，學生在縫點子學了怎樣製作，還有製作的重點、次序，回家把它們逐一完成💪💪。收到這份親手造禮物，馬年一定行大運，好運連連啊~~🐴🐴🐴🍊🍊🍊🌸🌸🌸

It's a tradition to give red packets during the Lunar New Year. 🧧🧧 A student urged to make five pieces of red-packet-pouch for her big sister, sister-in-law and niece before the family reunion dinner last Monday.🤗🤗🤗 This is an accordion-style pouch with three compartments inside. Users can get their red packets organized easily.😃😃 The fabrics the student chose for the project are vivid, jubilant and festive~~ 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Indeed, most of the works of these pouches were made by the student alone at home. 👍👍👍 In the class, I just taught her the ways, tricks and sequences of making it. After the first one or two pieces, the student was confident that she can make the rest solely on her own. 👏👏👏 The ones who got this handmade pouch are blessed and loved. The luck and bless will extend throughout the year of the horse!! 🐴🐴🐴🍊🍊🍊🌸🌸🌸

兩個在縫點子認識的同學仔，不約而同都喜歡這件小領巾上衣😃😃；相中學生便一馬當先，選了一幅灰色色織棉布，用自己量身基本紙型，建立了款式紙樣，再以迅雷不及掩耳的速度，在新年前完成這斯文又端莊的上衫，在巨型桃花前留倩影~~🌸🌸🌸

On the fourth day of the year of the horse, it's the day Fantasts resume normal operation after the CNY holidays!! 🌸🌸🌸 The first thing of today is to go ahead with the students' new year fashion show~~🥳🥳🥳

Two classmates of weekend sewing class were coincidentally attracted by this style of blouse. The one on the picture started it first. She picked a warm gray yarn dyed cotton fabric for the project. 😃😃 The pattern was self-drafted. The student developed it from her made-to-measure basic block. 👍👍👍After that, she cut and sewn everything up in fast forward. 🤭🤭🤭 She finished this decent and graceful blouse before the CNY and took that picture in front of the giant peach blossom tree. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

大年初三，繼續分享學生的靚靚親手造新年衫~~😍😍

大概一個月前，學生說，她想到了一個idea，想用手頭上的布料，製作一件日式夾羊毛棉外套，要雙面夾棉壓線的，要雙面穿的，要新年著新衫 😃😃😃…… 就這樣，學生便開始了這趟和花布的華麗旅程~~🌸🌸🌸

我們先從設計紙樣開始，連紙樣都是量身製作，是學生依具她的喜好，跟我商量，一步步實現出來🫰🫰🫰。棱形雙面壓線雙面穿的長袖外套，實在特別花心思、花時間、花心機😆😆😆，底、面兩層要對得非常準確，手針功夫當然不能少，幸好學生擅長手針，又心思細密，又不怕“麻煩”不怕“多嘢做”，才能縫製出這麽雅致又稱身的外套~~💯💯💯 真的好美啊~~🥳🥳🥳

On the third day of the year of the horse, I continue to share students' nice makes for the new year~~😍😍😍

Around a month ago, a student told me that she got an idea. She wanted to use a spring garden floral print she had on hand to make a Japanese style qulited jacket as her new year costume. 🥰🥰 Yes, why not? She then told me the design and details of it she had in mind and I led her to draft the pattern accordingly with her own body measurements. 😃😃😃

As far as I remember, the student never complain about the heavy workload sewing has given to her. She is always pleased and patient to do blasting, hand stitching, stitches correction, print matching, and so on.👏👏👏 These all are criteria for making a spendid double qulited reversible jacket. 🤗🤗 She made it!! And she looks bright and great on it!! Lovely!! 🥰🥰🥰

If you are regular reader of Fantasts' FB page, you must have seen the works of this Sou Sou loyal fan. This time, she bought a big piece of floral light wool from Sou Sou and made a stylish mid-thigh lined loose jacket. Lucky that she successfully finished it off before the CNY and could wear it to visit her friends and family on the first day of the new year.🤟🤟🤟

This is gorgeous!! 👍👍 She looks elegant and graceful on it!!😍😍😍 I guess she should have received so many compliments yesterday!!🥰🥰🥰 Could the ones around you truly believe that it was made all by yourself?? Nice make!! 🫶🫶🫶

“做隻出色的馬仔”🤭🤭，今年馬年，我製作了四匹良駒，各有不同形態🤗🤗🤗；三隻紫色系馬仔放在縫點子😃👌👌，一隻橙色的，是給我爸媽造的~~🥰😘😘😘

其中製作奔馳的深紫色馬仔時，我想起侄女兒跟我分享她最近鈎的公仔，她還示範給我看，怎樣做到“攣毛”效果，我受啟發應用了在這隻飛躍馬仔上~~🥳🥳🥳 謝謝侄女兒呀！🤭🤭🤭

I've been making Chinese zodiac dolls every year since the first year of Fantasts. 😃😃 This is the Year of the Horse, I made altogether four little horses. The three of the purple series are staying at Fantasts while the orange one has been given to my parents.🥰🥰🥰

When I was working on the hair of the mulberry one, I thought of the crochet curls hair my niece made for her latest doll. I got inspired and applied it onto my leaping horse. 😃😃 Thank you so much my dear niece Natalie~~😘😘😘

新年就是要大掃除、整靚間屋🥰🥰；學生最近整傷了腳，需要倚靠拐杖走路，但仍充滿行動力，沒有給自己完全停下來，動動腦筋，在家製作了這個沙發扶手套，粉飾一下，立即變得更溫馨~~🫰🫰🫰

Before CNY, everyone of us in Hong Kong is busy to do some spring-cleaning and home decorations. 🥰🥰 A student who has recently stumbled on a road and needs to walk with a crutch is still very much enthusiastic about beautifying the space. She made a few pieces of sofa arm panel covers for the living room.😃😃😃 It became more cozy and heartwarming~~🫰🫰🫰

What a beautiful carrying bag!!🤗🤗 It needn't to be complicated. A student only used a little piece of fabric from Marimekko and created this Nordic folk art style carrying bag. 😍😍 Well done!!👍👍👍
