The Theatre Design Department offers quality instruction in four areas: set & costume design, scenic art, property making, and costume technology. The first emphasizes conceptualization to visualization, that is, the incorporation the thematic priorities of a project to the final design proposal. The curriculum for each area is thus structured to explore, to instruct and to exercise a student’s gi

ven talent and skill, as well as to have the student gain a respect for the contributions made by his peers to a production.

After months of dedication and countless hours in the studio, our MFA Spatial Design Student and year 3 & 4 Theatre Design students have created something incredible! 🙌

Huge thanks to our amazing guest artists who spent months collaborating with our students, exploring how tech-infused body extensions impact the physical and emotional experiences of six underrepresented individuals. The commitment and effort that went into this project over these months is truly inspiring.

Even though this was an in-house showing, you can still experience their hard-earned results in our exhibition!
