Two days ago, friends and family from Bali and Australia gathered together to say their final farewells to Gunther Kitzler, one of the most loved and respected members of Bali’s surf community, whose final moments were spent surfing in the beloved ocean that he was as much part of as the fish that live in it.  A longtime expat originally from Bondi, Gunts at 57 years old was just a stoked on surfing as the day he started, and could be found at sunrise or before, at a beach or already in the water, wherever the waves would be pumping that day.
Gone way too soon, his last surf trip was to the Grajagan area of East Java, where on the 4th of March he caught his last wave.  Keep up the search Big G, and thanks for sharing your life with us…we’ll miss you every day…Selamat Jalan ❤️🕊️
