Threadapeutic We design for sustainability. Our raw materials form the heart of our craft.

In addition to fabric offcuts from garment makers, we also incorporate unconventional materials such as fabric samples from upholstery stores, jute sacks from coffee breweries, and vinyl from event banners. We explore how best to celebrate the inherent qualities of each material, pushing their aesthetic and functional properties through rigorous experimentation and thoughtful composition. With eac

h piece being designed to highlight the unique temperaments of their raw materials, no two creations are alike. Each Threadapeutic product has its own journey and distinct character — just like you.

Preserving Indonesian batik offcuts through an artwork that will last, hopefully for generations to come.

A WIP tapestry inspired by one of the many islands of Indonesia, which I hope to visit soon! Some of you may recognise the shape.

We intentionally keep aside certain fabrics with unique patterns and shape like batik and shibori for special projects. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that will stay as a WIP tapestry until it’s time to reveal its inner beauty. 🗓️

Sandy beige Muri clutches.

1 to 2 small samples with lesser layers are usually made for a customised tapestry. The pattern that’s not chosen to be made into the actual size tapestry will eventually be made into interior furnishings or fashion accessories, like these new, more spacious, Muri clutch-shoulder bags. ☺️

The “putri malu” textile.

When the jersey curls up after being cut, it reminds me of the Mimosa, also called shame plant or putri malu, when you touch the leaves, they fold inward to protect themselves. It’s one of those lovely surprises when we play with worn-out jersey t-shirts and post-production offcuts.
