Columbia Hike Society Special Edition 2026
The Columbia Hike Society Special Edition is back in 2026! Held at the end of July, this special edition took us to Mount Sumbing via the Gajah Mungkur route, where we invited participants to experience one of the mountain’s iconic trails, accompanied by breathtaking views of Mount Sindoro across the valley as we made our way toward the campsite.
At the campsite, participants also enjoyed a new experience: brewing pure matcha while surrounded by an incredible mountain landscape. Words can hardly describe the view — an endless sea of clouds beneath a stunning sunset, creating an unforgettable moment high on Mount Sumbing.
Beyond the trail and the scenery, Columbia Hike Society is also about the people. We met new friends, shared stories, and connected as naturally as old friends meeting again. This is what Columbia Hike Society is all about — bringing people together through the outdoors.
It’s not about how many people join the hike, but how meaningful the journey becomes when we experience it together.
