What does it mean for a craft to endure across generations?

π˜’π˜Œπ˜‹π˜œπ˜•π˜Žπ˜žπ˜œπ˜•π˜ 104/208 traces the legacy of Oey Soe Tjoen, one of Indonesia’s most celebrated batik houses. Presented by Masa Masa and Pithecanthropus, the exhibition explores how tradition continues through resistance and artistic evolution.

Through archival materials, textiles, and contemporary interpretations by .ibnoe .sukarya , this exhibition invites you to discover how a single batik house has shapedβ€”and been shaped byβ€”more than a century of political happenings and artistic practice.
