“If I could leave this world peacefully, just as my grandparents did, then I’ve won in life.”

For Nadia Habibie, legacy is measured less by what we inherit than by what we leave behind. A place where others feel encouraged to contribute, to grow, and to become more fully themselves.

“I don’t think I want to be limited by any sort of standard. I just want to be me.”

Life rarely asks us to become only one thing. Mother, entrepreneur, foundation leader, each role adds another dimension without replacing the last.

In , Nadia Habibie reflects on identity as something shaped over time, built through experience rather than expectation.

A name may be inherited. The life built around it never is.

Nadia Habibie has spent much of her life navigating expectation while remaining committed to her own convictions. Across philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and motherhood, she continues to define success not by recognition, but by the impact left behind.

The latest edition of offers a portrait of a woman whose greatest inheritance lies not in her family name, but in the values she chooses to carry forward.

Some creations are made for a moment; others become part of a lasting narrative.

Celebrating 18 years of his musical journey, singer-songwriter Afgan took the stage at Retrospektif: The Concert in a bespoke SAPTO DJOJOKARTIKO creation.

Developed over 325 hours, the ensemble is defined by an Armadillo velvet cropped jacket, where Penara patchwork emerges through intricate hand embroidery, layered pinstripe plaid, and refined velvet appliqué. Paired with Armadillo tailored trousers and a Carbone buttoned-up shirt, the look reflects the Maison’s dedication to precision, artistry, and enduring craftsmanship.

The Textile Chapter: Lawung

Every begins with a point of observation. For Lawung, it was the earliest bloom of the noni flower, where each petal became the starting point for a new textile language.

Developed as an evolution of the Maison’s Noni motif, Lawung transforms individual petals into a rhythmic composition that is both structured and fluid. Embroidered in the atelier and meticulously perforated by hand, each motif reveals delicate cutwork that brings depth, light, and dimension to the textile.

For SAPTO DJOJOKARTIKO, a pattern is never conceived as decoration alone. It becomes part of the textile itself, developed through drawing, embroidery, and refinement until material and silhouette evolve together. This process allows every interpretation of Lawung to remain connected to its origin while continuing to evolve with each collection.

More than a motif, Lawung reflects the Maison’s belief that heritage is carried forward through continuous reinterpretation. What begins in nature finds a new expression in textile recognizable in essence, yet never repeated in the same way.

Some details reveal themselves instantly. Others become more meaningful with time.
