Back in 2009, the Indosole team could fit on one motorbike.

Over 17 years, that small crew has grown into 35 people across our workshop, office, and seven shops in Bali. We’ve learned from each other, celebrated wins, pushed through struggles, had a few breakthroughs, and kept the same belief at the heart of it all: waste isn’t the end of the story. Design and quality are of the highest importance, and it’s a lifestyle when you are reimagining resourceful creations.

17 years of exploration through resourceful creation.

A huge thank you to our customers, friends, partners, and fans around the world who have supported us, challenged us, and inspired us to keep creating and pushing forward.

What started in Bali in 2009; picking up discarded motorbike tires from the side of the road and turning them into soles for our sandals, has slowly evolved into three recycled technologies, a team of 35, and seven Indosole shops across Bali.

We learned early on that working with waste isn't always convenient. But pollution is a whole lot more inconvenient.

Our goal has always been to shift the way people see waste and shine a light on its potential as a resource and a force for good.

These photos are a time capsule of our brand's upbringing.
