♻️ Explore Circular Design 🌍
The THREADs project works to improve how old clothing and fabrics are collected, sorted, and treated so they can be reused or recycled, benefiting local governments and other groups involved in waste management.
THREADs is launching the Reimagined Resources Open Call, and is inviting applications from designers and creatives connected to the NPA countries of Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
This initiative is seeking designers, craftspeople, architects, technologists and other creative professionals interested in exploring circular design through hands-on work with end-of-life textiles.
What to expect:
▪️ The opportunity to explore circular textile and fashion design practices
▪️ Participation in an international collaboration running from May to November 2026
▪️ Access to mentoring, masterclasses and a visit to a textile sorting facility
▪️ Financial support, including compensation for both phases and travel/accommodation for a mobility visit to Sweden
▪️ The chance to contribute to a forward-thinking project shaping sustainable futures in the NPA Region
Who should apply:
✅ Professionals with at least 2 years’ experience or advanced technical skills
✅ Individuals with a connection to the NPA Region
✅ Creatives with a strong interest in sustainability and cross-border collaboration
