Did you notice the lunches packed and bagged with everyone's favorite foods, crusts cut-off sandwiches, all ready to go? She did it.⁣

Did you notice the sink is all empty from last night, where every single bowl and plate was dirty? She did it.⁣

Did you notice the pantry stuffed with all the foods everyone likes? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice how every appointment gets made and how everyone gets registered for everything? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice all the clutter cleared all around the house, how the toilet paper never runs out, and the clothes are always folded and put away? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice how everyone gets dressed, fed breakfast, hustled out of the house on time, into the bath, dinner, bed? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice how she knows where everything is and where everything needs to go? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice how everyone’s clothes are laid out, favorite pajamas ready for bedtime, and shoes the right size? She did it.⁣
⁣
Did you notice her picking up the Legos off the floor so everyone won’t hurt their feet on them? She did it.⁣
⁣
Because 𝘴𝘩𝘦 is mom, and she does everything,⁣
and sometimes that not-noticing hurts her soul.⁣
⁣
And she doesn't do it for praise, but she's human, and it does get to her.⁣
⁣
It makes her feel like she doesn’t matter. ⁣
⁣
So, this is your reminder to tell her she does, and you 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦, and 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 her.⁣

Happy world bee day 🐝🥰
One day a couple of summers ago a bee landed on my son’s leg and started crawling on him, he was wearing shorts and he FREAKED out. He wouldn’t wear shorts for the rest of the summer and if he seen a bee in the garden while out playing he would scream and come running inside. This soon rubbed off on my daughter who is one year younger than her brother and she also became terrified of bees.
So I got to work on teaching them how to be brave with bees and here’s how I did it!

1. Lead by example
If you are afraid of bees your kids more than likely will be. I never freak out when a bee comes near me, I stay calm and tell the kids that the bee must think I’m a flower. I let the bee do it’s thing and fly off. I do not swat or scream or get in a flap 🤪
By watching me be brave, they learn to be brave.

2. Teach them how important bees are
I talk to the kids about how important bees are and teach them facts such as: “Almost 90% of wild plants and 75% of leading global crops depend on animal pollination”, you can find lots of cool facts about bees online 😍

3. Show them videos of bees
I show my kids cool documentaries or videos about bees on YouTube or TikTok, you can tell your kids something until you are blue in the face but seeing it can be better! Texas Beeworks has great videos of saving bees to show your kids 🐝

4. Plant some flowers for the bees
We planted a wildflower patch for the bees last summer and anytime we see a bee land on one of the flowers we all get super excited! This has been a great hands on activity to get the kids more interested and excited by bees 🌸

Now my son wears shorts and stands calmly in the garden if he sees a bee 🥰 in fact, a huge bee flew into our kitchen last week and the kids sat calmly at the table while I opened the windows and we all watched it find it’s way out 🐝
