Good evening everyone . I was recently commissioned to crochet theses little fellows . They are all from 3 different kits . These kits are recommended for age 7+ . However as someone who has crochet for many years I feel that a child would struggly . The instructions are not easy to follow . I ended up adapting the patterns , there is also insufficent yarn in some of the kits . Thank You Helen

Good evening everyone . I was recently asked to change the decoration on a wedding hat . The wedding hat was for the mother of the bride and the decoration was used from the fabric used to make her outfit . Photo 1 is how the hat was previously made . Photos 2, 3 4, are the fabric pieces I removed . Photo 5 is the finished hat . I did not use any glue but hand stitched the decorations into place . Thank You Helen

Good Afternoon everyone . Just to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2025 . I would like to thank everyone for their kind get well wishes. I am very grateful for all your loyal support throughout the year that you give my small buisnesss .

I plan to open the shop tomorrow , as i have improved from the pneumonia . However I may not beable to do a full day yet. Therefore it would be best to ring me before calling out .

Stay safe from theses viruses that are increasing rapidly . Look forward to seeing you all soon . Helen

Good evening everyone . Just an update on the shop . The shop remains closed as I have Pneumonia . Over the past 2 weeks I have learnt so much regarding my alteration and repair service . For my own health and well being changes have to be made for me to continue this service .

Items need to be brought in and collected during the specified opening hours, as I am not an out of hours service .

I will close daily for a short lunch break 12.15 to 1pm .

All items, if not new must be washed / dry cleaned .

We will endevour to complete the work within 2 weeks .

If work needs to be done urgently then they will be an extra charge.

Work will continue to be prioritized
1. Work cloths and school uniforms.
2. Wedding and special occassion outfits
3. Travel
4. None urgent items

Tips on buying cloths .
Buy a size larger . Its easier to reduce an item to fit then to increase
Shop local and support local buisnessess , you can then try on the item.
If you buy on line most items are made in China and can be poor quality . Zips may be broken and seams open before you have tried the item on . Therefore you end up paying for a garment and repairs before its worn .

To all my customers . I am so sorry that if you called to the shop over the last week and found the shop closed or you left me a message on the telephone and i didnt reply . I have been in bed with the most evil virus . I did do a Covid test which was negative but as the symptoms have progresssed I feel that the awful virus can only be Covid . I was on the waiting list for the vaccines but not called up .

The shop will remain closed at the momement. However for people who have left there cloths in, I will make arrangements for the lady who helps me to do them . I will then text you to make arrangements to collect at some time convienent to both of us .

If you have the opportuinty to get a Vaccine before xmas it would be the best xmas present to get . Take care Helen

Good afternoon everyone . I am sorry that I have not been able to open the shop today as it is due to the bad weather . My concern is that the snow has not melted and it will freeze overnight leading to even worse driving conditions for tomorrow . Therefore I will open as soon as the roads are safe, as I dont want to risk life or limb . Stay safe indoors and I look forward to seeing you all soon . Helen
