How to press your linen flat cap at home

Many of you will be taking your linen caps out of storage, to wear for the summer months. Linen naturally creases with use or from storage, so your cap may need a pressing before it becomes your summer staple once again!

In this video, John Patrick shows what you need and how to press your linen flat cap at home.

What you need:
- Iron (on a medium to high heat)
- Ironing board
- 2 Small towels

Any questions, ask them below and we’ll do our best to help!

Linen is made from the flax plant recognised by its “wee blue blossom”, which has a long history in Ireland stretching back to the first millennium.

Linen is the ideal fabric to wear in warmer climates as it transmits sun away from the wearer leaving them cool in the summer sun. Linen is a natural breathable fabric so it’s an ideal companion for a stroll on a beautiful summer’s day.

We use 100% Irish Linen in all of our linen products. We offer a variety of neutral tones, Glen Checks and a selection of limited-edition colours for 2026.
