Well... I think it's safe to say summer has well and truly arrived! I hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous weather while it lasts.

As much as I love crochet, I have to admit defeat... it's officially too hot to have a blanket on my lap and a ball of yarn stuck to my arms! 🧶🥵 So, for the moment, the crochet hooks have been retired until the temperatures calm down a little.

That said, I wasn't completely idle before the heatwave hit! I've managed to finish a few tapestry pieces and a couple of blankets, which I'm really happy with, and I've shared them below for you all to have a look at.

Unfortunately, every project I finish seems to be replaced by two more ideas! My WIP (Work In Progress) pile is multiplying faster than I can crochet it. At this stage, I think the yarn is plotting against me! 😂🙈

I hope you all have a fantastic week. Stay hydrated, wear your sunscreen, and make the most of the sunshine while it's here... after all, this is Ireland, so it'll probably be raining before we know it! ☀️🇮🇪💜

Hello hello! 👋

You probably think I've disappeared off to live on a desert island somewhere… preferably one with good yarn supply and zero responsibilities 🙈 I know I’ve been quiet since March (last time I was still leaving little crochet bits around town like some kind of crafty mystery goblin), but I promise I’m still here!

Life’s just been a bit busy behind the scenes, full of hooks, yarn and way too many “I’ll just finish this row” moments that turn into entire evenings. I’ll be sharing a few photos of what I’ve been working on over the last few weeks — there’s been quite a bit happening! And I’m also working on a special piece that I genuinely can’t wait to show you all soon… it’s one of those “I hope you love it as much as I do” projects 💛

More updates coming very soon, I promise I won’t vanish again (well… I’ll try 😅)

🐰✨ A little Easter magic is on the way… ✨🐰

I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who reached out to say they found one of my shamrocks. Your messages genuinely meant the world to me, knowing something so small brought a smile to your day is exactly why I do this.

Because they were so warmly received… I couldn’t stop there. With Easter week upon us, I’ll be heading out again, this time leaving behind tiny crochet bunnies 🐇

They’ll be tucked away in the most unexpected little spots, just waiting to be found… so keep your eyes peeled 👀✨

Even though the page has been a little quiet lately, the crochet hooks certainly haven’t been! I’ve been busy behind the scenes in KezCrochet HQ working away on some lovely new pieces.

Here are a few of my recent makes, including some more crochet tapestries and a couple of decoupage candles that I had so much fun creating. I always love trying new designs and seeing each piece come together stitch by stitch.

I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post — somehow January felt like it lasted forever and now we’re already halfway through March! 🙈 Time really does fly.

Things have been busy behind the scenes here at KezCrochet HQ, with hooks clicking away and plenty of yarn turning into new creations. I’ve been working on lots of pieces lately and I’m excited to start sharing some of my recent makes with you over the next day or two, so keep an eye on the page.

I’m also currently working on a special piece that I absolutely can’t wait to show you all — it’s one I’m really proud of and I think you’ll love it too.

With St. Patrick’s weekend here, I thought it would be fun to spread a little bit of crochet luck around. Over the next couple of days I’ll be leaving some handmade shamrocks around town for people to discover. I won’t be posting any locations, the idea is that they’re found completely by chance ☺️

Who knows… you might just stumble across a lucky four-leaf shamrock! 🍀

✨ A little something different from KezCrochet ✨

While crochet will always have my heart, over Christmas I decided to step slightly outside my comfort zone and try my hand at decoupage candles and I’m so glad I did! 🕯️

They were a bit of an experiment, but they went down an absolute treat at the Christmas market and the lovely feedback really made my day. I adore creating handmade pieces that feel special, thoughtful and a little bit different and these candles fit right in alongside my crochet makes.

Another one of my Christmas makes was this Bagpuss cat, lovingly crocheted as my Secret Santa gift 🎁

I really wanted to create something meaningful, not just a present, but a little piece of nostalgia wrapped up in yarn. Bagpuss felt like the perfect choice… soft, comforting and full of childhood magic ☺️

To make it even more special, I added a few clues on the box to slowly take them back in time before opening it. Little hints of Saturday mornings, cosy TV moments and that familiar pink-and-white friend we all once knew so well. Watching it all come together was just as lovely as seeing it opened. There’s something so special about gifting something handmade, knowing the time, care and love stitched into every single row. I think this one really hit the mark, and it filled my heart to see it received with such joy.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do 🧶✨

One of my very first Christmas makes was this Scream tapestry crochet wall hanging ☺️ I had so much fun bringing this one to life, from the bold colours to every stitch of that iconic face.

It was actually a Christmas present, so I had to keep it under wraps for a while… but now I can finally share! I’m delighted to say it went down an absolute treat and the recipient was over the moon 🥰
