The dreamiest shoot...

There are moments when you have to take a deep breath, sit in the moment and take it all in.

I'll find the words later I think.

Ahhh it's a bit scary being back online but I've had a very quick browse of Instagram and it seems this is how you do it now, right, with the captions?!

Offline, I've been working away in the studio, which I'm sure I'll fill you in on over the coming days (and more next month, when a lot of my work will become more apparent! πŸ˜‰)

Also I'll be sending out a newsletter later today, with some EXCELLENT news for subscribers.

ALSO I'll be trying to keep it more knitwear here for the next while, promise. I've LOTS to share.

Hope everyone's well! Looking forward to catching up with all the goings on! Kx

Offline, I've been working away in the studio, which I'm sure I'll fill you in on over the coming days (and more next month, when a lot of my work will become more apparent! πŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰) and I managed a last minute holiday to France (everything is last minute this year)

My main news is that I'll be sending out a newsletter later today, with some EXCELLENT news for subscribers (also keep an eye on the website for lots of happenings over the next few weeks!)

Hope everyone's well! Looking forward to catching up with all the goings on! Kx

πŸ“’ A huge thank you to for choosing to showcase Miss She's Got Knits at the sustainability talk this year at .

Roxanne chose a piece I had been working on quietly over the last few months, styled alongside an MSGK hand-loomed side split dress and finished with this stunning coat in the same beautiful Bainin wool.

This feature piece came about from me simple desire: to honour the beauty in the rawness of the Bainin Wool, which sat for weeks on my desk begging to be given a moment in the spotlight.

The collar is hand-knit in a herringbone stitch - one of my favourite stitches for creating depth, texture and structure. The stitches overlap like scales or armour, creating a woven fabric that feels protective, enduring and deeply rooted. In BΓ‘inΓn wool, the stitch takes on a remarkable solidity, showcasing the fibre's resilience while celebrating its raw, natural character.

For me, the fringing is where the wool truly comes alive. The contrast between the earthy BΓ‘inΓn wool and the softness of alpaca creates something both rugged and delicate, a meeting of wildness and refinement that I find endlessly captivating.

It's all a bit punk, really. I mean real punk. Real 'of the land', warrior style, going into battle Tina Turner Mad Max heavy rock punk. I had trialed this feeling in another piece I knit in the same stitch around three years ago, again the armour like style in a kind of breastplate, but finished with a soft, ebbing shale stitch peplum. One of my personal faves. I'm sure it's saying something about how I'm feeling deep down πŸ˜…

I've discovered I enjoy making these unusual pieces from Irish Wool. It is such a beautiful fibre to work with, I even mentioned to Roxanne in a voicenote that it felt quite emotional at times to work with. I couldn't quite put it into words then, and I'm not sure I can now, but there is something about holding it on my needles that stirs something ancient and familiar deep within me.

πŸ’ Custom orders for Summer Cardigans πŸ’

Hello lovely people!

Jumping on to let you know I have opened the commission window for our hand-knit summer cardigans; The Cropped Cardi and The Clover Cardi.

I know so many people love both designs, beautiful lightweight cardigans that can be worn over jeans and a plain white tee, a summer dress for holidays and give a depth and softness to every outfit. Not to mention the feeling of wearing something hand-knit, and especially hand-knit in Ireland. It really is a special feeling.

This window for custom orders will close for this year on the 15th (Monday) at 12pm with wool orders placed the same day.

Side note: my head and heart feel so much lighter with the new process for MSGK. It has helped me focus so much more, so thank you for coming along with me for it!

πŸ“ Commissions open for TheBigPink πŸ“

Hi! I hope everyone is well. I am opening spaces for TheBigPink commissions this weekend, so I wanted to do a little PSA about it.

I know I have a lot of new people here (hello!), and many who I'm sure are utterly befuddled by how made to order works.

So, to start fresh again, this is how I'm going to work things for a while.

This weekend, I'm opening orders for TheBigPink in all colours (see slide) and will close when full for a while to concentrate on another design.

So if you've ever wanted to order this piece, this is your sign!

Pop me a message here or head to the site to order directly (where you can also pick your colour and add a sweet heart on the sleeve, if youre a person like me who wears their heart on theor sleeve)

Kx
