Introducing Indigo & Cloth, 40 Clarendon Street.

Just over a week into our new home for the store. We’ve been busy settling into the space, refining details and welcoming new seasonal deliveries for our Autumn/Winter collections.

Thank you to everyone who has called in, sent a message or wished us well - the support has meant a great deal. It’s been brilliant to see familiar faces through the doors already, alongside new ones discovering Indigo for the first time.

Store opening hours: Monday - Saturday, 10-6pm, Sunday, 11-6pm.

I&C Update

With the focus on securing our new store location and getting our temporary Clarendon Street space ready for mid-August, we’ve made the decision to push our planned gathering on the 1st of August back to our final departure from Essex Street in September. Many of you had marked the date already, so we wanted to share the update.

Being fully present for this next stage of the move is our priority right now, and we want to make sure we can celebrate properly before we say goodbye to 9 Essex Street for good.

We’ll plan a final farewell party before we depart in mid-September, and we’ll share full details as soon as we can. Thank you to all our customers, as always, for your patience, support and understanding.

I&C Store Update

Since sharing our recent news, the messages, shares and introductions we’ve received have been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch, share our story and connect us with new opportunities. The support has given us real momentum as we continue to evolve Indigo & Cloth.

We’re grateful to share that we’ve received a short extension at 9 Essex Street East, giving us a little more time to prepare for our next move.

Our last day of trading on the upper floors of the store will be August 11th. From mid-August until the end of January 2027, Indigo & Cloth will move to a temporary home on Clarendon Street, where we’ll focus on retail and presenting our Autumn/Winter 2026 collections. More details on our new space will be shared very soon.

Our café will remain open on the ground floor at Essex Street until mid-September. In the background, we’re working on an exciting new café project, just a short distance from our current home, which we’re really looking forward to sharing.

We’re still actively searching for our long-term home in Dublin city centre. Our aim is to find a space large enough to bring our full store & café concept back together under one roof. We’ll soon be saying goodbye to our upper floors at Essex Street and would love to welcome both familiar and new faces into the space before we do. We’ll be hosting a farewell party in-store on Saturday, August 1st, with more details to follow over the coming days.

Indigo & Cloth has recently been named one of Ireland’s Top 30 Coffee Shops by .ie - a recognition decided through a specialist expert panel made up of baristas, coffee roasters & industry professional, plus a public vote. We were also shortlisted as Ireland’s best flat white.

We’re proud to feature alongside some of the island’s most celebrated cafés. Thank you to all who voted and to anyone who’s taken the time to visit our space in Temple Bar.

Notice to Vacate

We’ve recently learned that our time at 9 Essex Street East will be coming to an end.

After nearly 15 years growing our store & café across three floors in Temple Bar, we now need to find a new home by July 15th, 2026.

Our focus now is on what comes next. We’re actively searching for a new space & see this as an opportunity to evolve Indigo & Cloth into its next chapter.

This is where we need your help.

If you know of a space, have an opportunity we should consider, or can share this post, it would mean a great deal to us. Dublin may feel short on available commercial units, but we know there are vacant buildings & untapped spaces out there.

For those unfamiliar, Indigo & Cloth is an independent menswear & lifestyle store, along with a speciality café, proudly operating in Dublin city centre since 2007. As we look ahead, we hope to mark 20 years of business in 2027 in a new home. We’re ideally looking for a city centre space that can accommodate both our retail store & café, but we’re open to all options.

While we’re still here, we’d love to welcome both familiar & new faces to our store in Temple Bar. We’re deeply grateful for the years we’ve spent here & for the community that’s grown around us. We have some special moments planned before we say goodbye to a space we’ve loved so dearly.

Introducing Anna Rave SS26

For Spring/Summer, we’ve worked closely with Anna, a German knitwear designer based in Dublin, to refine a small run of pieces that feel considered, textural & easy to wear day to day. The collection builds on last season’s favourites with new proportions & subtle details across cropped lambswool knits, Japanese-inspired vests and triangle bandanas.

Across the design process, Anna spent time in the store, moving back & forth between her studio & our rails, to talk through fit, finish and proportion. Together, we researched into previous Indigo & Cloth collections & our personal archive for reference, shaping pieces that feel fresh while still very much part of our ongoing wardrobe story.

Each piece is crafted from soft lambswool in Anna’s Dublin studio, with a focus on clean lines, felted finishes & a palette that sits comfortably within an Indigo & Cloth wardrobe. The knits layer easily over tees or shirting, while the bandanas add a quiet structure & texture at the neck or under outerwear.

We’ve been working with Anna for a number of seasons now, & this chapter feels like the most resolved expression of the collaboration so far. It’s rooted in her approach to knitwear & shaped by how our customers dress in Dublin. Find the new Anna Rave pieces available in-store as part of our studio floor edit and online via our site.
