This little Snow Owl has been sitting quietly in my work basket for a while.

Not because I'd forgotten about it...

Because I was waiting for the right time.

The wool is unlike anything I've ever worked with before.

It's beautifully soft and probably the most expensive wool I've ever crocheted with.

I only had enough to make a handful, so there will only be a few Snow Owls in this year's Christmas collection.

I never expected to find my passion later in life.

Crocheting gave me a purpose and the confidence I didn’t know I had.

I still get excited every time I try a new design, even if it takes me hours or even days to figure it out 😂

I can’t believe how many lovely enquiries have been coming in for this little chef.

What makes him even more special is that he was my very first custom commission after my cataract surgery—and I’m delighted to say he came together perfectly on the very first attempt! 🥹✨ That felt like a huge milestone and gave me such a confidence boost.

It’s amazing what a little rat with a chef’s hat can do!
