It’s a beautiful sunny day in Dublin, so why not pop by the shop and have a look? We’ve loads of deadly Dublin-themed gifts like this 3D-printed heart-shaped magnet with an iconic James Joyce quote. Some people insist there is no evidence that he ever uttered those words, but it appears he did say the following in an exchange with the suffragette Hanna Sheehy Skeffington:

“Mrs. Skeffington, there was an English queen [Mary I] who said that when she died the word ‘Calais’ would be written on her heart. ‘Dublin’ will be found on mine.”

In the interest of making Mr. Joyce a little more succinct, we think it’s close enough.

Get organised with these daily and weekly planners. We have 18-month planners that cover July 2026 to December 2027, and 2027 quarterly planner sets with a different coloured planner for each quarter. We’ve also got monthly and yearly overview stickers for the larger planners as well as pen loops to help keep you extra organised. Check them out in the shop or on our website.

Well that was quite the day! We were able to get 2,400 solar eclipse glasses into people’s hands on behalf of Astronomy Ireland. Thank you all for being so unbelievably sound and patient with us as we did our best to keep the line moving quickly. We’re closing a little early so our staff can head out to watch the eclipse. Hope you all have an amazing time, wherever you’re watching it.
