THANK YOU ALL! it has been a lovely year.

We may be now preparing your next step forward, planning and create dreams so, whatever you do and feels right to you, hope you find enjoyment and peace.

One thing or two I've learned and is to be whoever you want to be. I am whimsical and my head is a melting pot , I realised how much I love variety so I will keep it real, real me.

Happy New year 🎉

In a world 🌎 of such diversity, the mainstream media is filled with the usual stereotypes of beauty when there's way more to see and appreciate.

Anna May Wong, considered by many to be the first Chinese-American movie star. Even though she was internationally known by 1924, her film roles were limited by stereotype and prejudice.

In 1935, Wong was dealt the most severe disappointment of her career, when Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer refused to consider her for the leading role of the Chinese character O-Lan in the film version of Pearl S. Buck's The Good Earth. MGM instead cast Luise Rainer to play the leading role in yellowface.

Sharing this beautiful poster, from a music sheet.

So hard to find decent posters of us Black people in this era, most poster or cartoon are just a bunch of misrepresentation in an effort to perpetuate the concept of racial inferiority.

We are not yet there, not near equal representation in the media and marketing, but all I can do is post the beautiful world of inclusion.

Paint Me Little Black Angels(Poem)

Oh world! The black woman Juana,

what a hand she was dealt!

Her little baby died,

yes sir.

Oh, my little soul mate!

So good was the black child!

I did not notice his skinfold;1

I did not look at his bones;

since I was getting thin,

I compared him to my body,

he was getting thinner

as I myself was.

My little black baby died,

God would be ready for him.

He may already have a place for him

as a little angel from heaven.

𝓙𝓪𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓑𝓪𝓵𝓭𝔀𝓲𝓷

I don't think I have ever read and heard thinker more eloquently spoken than him. His prose, his brilliance, his legacy .

He spoke in verses that can still be applicable in today’s world, the social reality of a nation that still immobilized.

HE WROTE:
========
We know, in the case of the person,
that whoever cannot tell himself the
truth about his past is trapped in it, is immobilized in the prison of his undiscovered self.

This birth of the Black Pride movement began was an effort to counteract the racist notion in American culture that features typical of Blacks were less attractive or desirable than those of Whites.

I grew up in Venezuela and I remember growing with the perception that my blackness wasn't beautiful and that manifested itself as  internalized racism.

That's no new, seems every generation experience this to certain degree and, hence I feel that inclusion an representation matters a lot.

Loving the separable collar these days.

The collar certainly looks “old-fashioned,” is an easy way to make an ordinary outfit look a bit fancy, even a dress can be dressed this way.

A century ago most men wore separable collars (and cuffs) with their shirts and in the 16th & 17th they were an incredible fashion statement.

Of course lets no forget the Ruff collars that began appearing on both shirts and undershirts in the mid-1400s.

Wait ✋ to see me with one of those truly epic !! ....
