And it’s done! 9 intricately paper-cut panels depicting the inspiring scenes of Cromarty. Below is an excerpt from the exhibition brochure:

The 9 paper-cut panels exhibited tonight illustrate what it is about Cromarty that inspires its creative community. The finished pieces are my response to conversations had with local makers who described the sun/moonlight, the vast Firth, lush woodlands and the strong sense of safety and community.

I pondered over these conversations while I sought my own inspiration, taking regular walks around Cromarty, exploring its charming streets. I became fascinated with the trinkets that adorn many of the windows in the village. These personally, lovingly curated windows are what frame Cromarty’s inspiring scenery. The composition of panels allows the viewer to walk through Cromarty, absorbing what I have during my time here.

Had to re-do paper cut 3/6, but it’s coming along nicely now. Starting to think about how to hang these and designing exhibition collateral for the event at the end of this month.
