Two years ago, House of Abia became official. But this story began long before Dublin.
Through God’s help, I have been building things my whole life.
At university, I was simultaneously running a cleaning products company, managing fish farms, consulting for agricultural businesses, and leading a team of five, I lived the busy lifestyle.
I was studying Fisheries and Aquaculture by day and bidding for commercial contracts and supplies of products by night.I have always known how to build, just have the mindset of making everyone’s life better and easier.
After graduation, I got a Business School Certification, lectured entrepreneurship in colleges, worked for a governor’s wife as stockist, then felt a pull toward something bigger. I moved cities. I learned travel consultancy from the ground up. When it was slow, I pivoted. When that didn’t work, I came back and made the travel company work.
From top cooperate travels, government contracts, private jet leasing, royal families, the National Defence Academy of Nigeria and more… Eleven staff. An IATA certification from Montreal. That came with the lifestyle of travelling, studying countries and tourist destinations, etc
Through all of it, one thing remained constant.
The way I dressed opened every door.
My clients noticed before I did. Referrals came not just for travel but because of how I showed up. Contracts were awarded even before biddings. So I found a tailor. Then I became the tailor. I enrolled to learn the basics and taught myself pattern making, garment drafting, and construction dresses, gowns, blouses, trousers, suits built entirely through precision, obsession, and intention.
I moved to London for my Masters in International Business. I modelled during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. I got married. We moved to Dublin.
Then came the Caribbean.
