ke huge care in selecting the designers and the edit of the collections we carry in Loulerie. For my own line it can take up to a year to get one collection just right. I deliberate over every tiny detail as I want my clients to feel special when they wear my pieces. When I’m designing, I picture a woman wearing the piece and what clothes she wears, how she moves and where the jewellery will sit against her skin, it’s all about the story for me.”
Growing up in Dublin, Louise discovered her mother’s jewellery collection and was transfixed by the suede-lined box and all the treasures it housed. Years later, she interned in New York with Alexis Bitter. Working with the innovative jewellery brand sealed her passion for the industry. She stayed on in the States, working for leading design houses that created fine jewellery for every calibre of client from Bloomingdales to Helzberg Diamonds. On returning home to Ireland in 2007, Louise opened Loulerie, a jewellery boutique in the heart of Dublin offering an exciting mix of emerging designers alongside some more established names.
