I loved making this hat.

This is the piece I teased a little while back, the one that kept me up until 2:30am the night before it was gifted.

Two days of work went into getting every line of her right. No room for mistakes, and I'm so happy with how she turned out.

Not every hat gets this treatment.

This was a completely bespoke, one-of-a-kind commissioned hat, created as a birthday gift for Niamh — with almost every detail carrying a piece of her story.

Her old Levi’s.
A favourite top.
Her beloved lurcher, Cleo.
Memories of Yosemite and the Grand Canyon.
A Grand Canyon keepsake.
A customised compass representing Niamh, Adam & Cleo.

Even the Levi’s 501 badge from her old jeans was stitched into the hat.

And yes… there was one small problem.

Adam thought they’d been together since 2009.

They’ve actually been together since 2008. 😂

By the time we realised, the wrong date had already been engraved into the hat.

Two full days of work, countless hours of shaping, sanding, burning, stitching and finishing — and a final push until 2:15am to get it ready in time.

This hat started with a Gibson Les Paul, left to him by his uncle. Every Tracy James commission starts with a story like this.

A broken guitar string, two Gibson picks, and a shoulder strap, all worked directly into the hat band. Nothing here is decoration, it's all his.

Even the pin has a story. A wings badge from William, from his time in the air corps.

A touch of blue for a native Dub, and a Zach Bryan lyric burned under the brim where only he'll ever see it.

This might be one of the coolest hats I've made at the hat bar so far.
Burnt bands, dice pins, feathers, every detail chosen with intention. This hat was so reflective of her character, she was such a charismatic girl and it was great to help her craft something that actually matched her personality. This is what the hat bar is all about.

I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon.
Brimsville has a new home.

We've just picked up the keys to our own studio, and there's a lot of chaos and even more work ahead, but the excitement outweighs it all.

This space means we'll be making individual hats right here, ready to sell through our soon-to-be-live online store, because we know not everyone can make it to see us at the shows. I can't wait to see how this all comes together. I think I'm going to love it here.
