What do I wear to a special occasion?

This is a question we get a lot in the shop so we have been searching high and low for a collection that will take you to an event but that you will also want to wear again and again.

This collection from Florere really caught our eye. Beautiful contemporary and feminine pieces that you can dress up or down depending on your needs.

We feel in love with the structure and flow of the clothing and the ability to mix and match each piece. 🧡

Even though they have only just arrived, some of the pieces have nearly sold out but keep an eye on our website as we are hoping to reorder 🤞

How do you feel about co-ords?

Personally, we’re loving them. An outfit that we don’t have to think about too much and it’s ready to wear? Perfection👌

Thankfully our customers are loving them as well. We are nearly sold out of a some pieces from the new collection like this Jove Pleat Top and Barrel Trousers.

A draped asymmetric top paired with a high-waisted, barrel trousers. Both pieces crafted in a refined taupe-grey tone accented with a fine rust-brown grid check. Great for an evening out or a meeting in work.

A few little moments from the weekend. 📷

My beautiful and dear friend Katya came to stay, and we spent the last couple of days doing some of our favourite things… early morning swims, long evening walks, endless cups of tea and even more chatting.

In between all of that, Katya (who also happens to be a brilliantly talented photographer) Katya de Grunwald captured some beautiful new images here at PLACE, looking forward to sharing them soon.

And thanks Dawn for taking this shot … that’s me in one of the first pieces from a lovely new designer joining us for the new season, Florère. More on that very soon.

We were blown away this weekend by the love for our new collections 🧡 thank you to everyone who came out to see us.

Opening our first new arrivals for pre-autumn… and we’re smiling.

Not just because there are beautiful new clothes inside, but because it’s SKFK.

Some of you may remember them from years ago, and we’re genuinely delighted to welcome them back to PLACE.

For us, it’s never just about beautiful clothes. It’s about the people who make them, the materials they’re made from and the values that sit behind every collection.

So before I even show you the new pieces, I wanted to show you the packaging.

“Sorry if I look wrinkled… but hey, at least I’m not made of plastic.”

I have to admit… I rather resonate with that these days. 😆

It’s also a lovely reminder that natural fibres are meant to crease. Organic cotton, linen and TENCEL™ soften, wrinkle and tell the story of being worn and lived in. We wouldn’t really want them any other way.

Founded in Bilbao in 1999, SKFK has been quietly championing thoughtful design and more conscious fashion for over 25 years. Their collections are beautifully made, creatively designed and intended to become part of a long-term wardrobe.

The clothes are every bit as lovely and thoughtful as the packaging!

We’ll start sharing them with you over the coming days… I have a feeling you’re going to love them as much as we do. 🧡

The Almina dress has definitely been the piece I’ve reached for most this summer. 🧡

It’s one of those dresses that just quietly gets on with the job. Made from organic cotton in the perfect weight for warm days, with deep pockets (always a win!) and a front zip fastening that gives you lots of options for how to wear it.
I’ve worn it on its own, layered under a tee, and I’ll be wearing it well into early autumn with a knit over the top.

It’s one of those pieces that works far harder than you’d expect.

The good news is it’s now in our Summer Sale. The not-so-good news is there aren’t many sizes left, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time.
