A Germany base fashion brand Is looking for an experienced CAD Pattern Master for its Bangladesh Operation plant in Uttara -Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this role you will be required to study blueprints and design models, create paper templates, and design the final pattern for mass production.
To ensure success as a Pattern Maker, you should have extensive experience with pattern design and a good eye for detail. Should be a top-class Pattern Maker perfectly translates the ideas of the designer into a reliable and repeatable pattern.
The incumbent must be experienced Pattern Designing by Auto Cad Software and Graduated from Fashion and Textile. We mainly produce Ladies Fashionable Fancy Items for our Customer.
He/ She has to double-check the pattern dimensions and style;
The candidate must have experience Compute dimensions of patterns according to sizes, considering stretching of material;
The candidate has to create a master pattern for each size within a range of garment sizes, using charts, drafting instruments, computers, and/or grading devices;
He/ She has to create a paper pattern from which to mass-produce a design concept;
To determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material, and mark fabric accordingly;
Has to discuss design specifications with designers, and convert their original models of garments into patterns of separate parts that can be laid out on a length of fabric;
Need to draw details on outlined parts to indicate where parts are to be joined, as well as the positions of pleats, pockets, buttonholes, and other features, using computers or drafting instruments;
The Master has to draw outlines of pattern parts by adapting or copying existing patterns, or by drafting new patterns;
Time to time as necessary examine sketches, sample articles, and design specifications to determine quantities, shapes, and sizes of pattern parts, and to determine the amount of material or fabric required to make a product;
The Pattern Master will also mark samples and finished patterns with information such as garment size, section, style, identification, and sewing instructions;
He/ she has to position and cut out master or sample patterns, using scissors and knives, or print out copies of patterns, using computers;
Also need to trace outlines of paper onto cardboard patterns, and cut patterns into parts to make templates;
He/ she must be able to read and interpret blueprints and design models.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
Graduate from Textile Institute/ BUFT/ BIFDT/
Textile Degree or Fashion Design Degree is must.
Bangladesh University of Textiles, BGMEA University of Fashion Technology students will get preference.
Training/Trade Course: Pattern Design CAD,Pattern Design
Skills Required: Auto CAD Designing, CAD Designing, CAD Pattern, Garment Designing

Previous experience as a Pattern Maker.
Proficient with computer drafting software including CAD.
Experience with measuring, snipping, milling, and cutting tools.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to work to a deadline.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
