Some objects are made to carry what matters.

For Ireland's 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union, we designed a bespoke notebook as an official gift of the Irish Government: a piece of Ireland, placed in the hands of guests from across Europe.

Inspired by the traditional leather document cases used in Ireland, it is cut from full grain, vegetable-tanned leather in our Heritage Green, which deepens and softens with every year. The orange elastic is a quiet nod to the tricolour.

Now, for the first time, Irelands Notebook is available to you. It is finished with the TED 1942 logo, presented in our Heritage Green gift box, and comes with a complimentary monogram inside the cover.

A beautiful evening where fashion, art and craftsmanship came together at the Gerard Byrne Gallery in Dublin.

We were delighted to see our iconic TED 1942 Door Bag take to the runway alongside the stunning AW26 collections by Helen McAlinden and Louis Copeland & Sons.

There is something truly special about Irish creatives coming together, each bringing their own story, vision and craftsmanship.

A wonderful celebration of Irish design, individuality and timeless style.

It was a true privilege for TED 1942 to create the official leather notebook cover for Minister Peter Burke and Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, in commemoration of Ireland’s EU Presidency and as part of the official gift.

My sincere thanks to Minister .burke.fg for placing his trust in us to deliver such a meaningful project. It was an honour to contribute to an initiative that showcases Irish craftsmanship at such an important moment.

Projects like this remind us how meaningful thoughtfully crafted Irish products can be when representing our country. From the handcrafted leather notebooks to the final presentation, every detail mattered.
