Maskit is a luxury women’s ready-to-wear brand launched in Israel in 1954 by Ruth Dayan. Maskit was born out of an ideology to create new work opportunities for immigrants in the field of crafts. These worldwide artists created a tradition of uniqueness and authenticity never seen before and with the help of head designer, Fini Laintersdorf,
Maskit soon became a global phenomenon. Each fashion piece captured a vivid inspiration, a distinct human element that set it apart from other top brands. A two-year journey of research and revival has led the team throughout the captivating Israeli landscapes to reconnect with Maskit's original artists and roots. At the age of 97, Ruth is working with the extremely gifted designer, Sharon Tal to reestablish the brand and continue its legacy. Together, Ruth and Sharon are driving the future of Maskit, infusing its rich heritage with modern fashion and remaining focused on delivering top quality and exclusive designs.
