Already in the first days of the war, my studio became a seamstress that designs and manufactures equipment for the soldiers. Equipment for the military and more.
I never thought or realized that my skills would be useful in such a situation.
Speaking of in 50 years..

The desire to benefit as much as possible - and in the very specific place of a very specific need - was completely intuitive.
And the need to help my graduate students, on the other hand, was completely understandable from the first moment - because I knew what a wonderful community I have, how amazing they are.
They didn't disappoint, they came, helped during the long days and nights we worked intensely that I remember like her...

All of this was completely voluntary, I contributed from my pocket and my time - like many, many people around me - and these days I have to get the studio back on track, slowly, gradually -

לא חשבתי ולא פיללתי מעולם שהכישורים שלי יועילו דווקא בסיטואציה כזאת.

You won't believe what's happening in the studio these days.
Together with my graduate students, girls and boys - we got together to help a graduate student of the studio (and today a reservist in an elite unit) with several challenging projects, and very, very, very urgent.
Working in shifts, for 12 days already - from early in the morning until the wee hours of the night.
Along the way, several more projects were added that we had already completed and handed over to special units.
Not bragging 🙃😪, I really would rather design beautiful clothes and teach cute and talented girls and boys. But in times like this it is very satisfying to do something important and urgent, to contribute from our abilities (and we have some).
I always knew that an amazing community of past and present students formed in the studio - and this time in difficult circumstances for all of us I came to understand how much!

Here are some tastes of the pressure we are going through.
Time pressure is also the reason I haven't written anything until now.

My country is under attack. People protect their homes, their families, in the settlements, on the streets of Sderot, Ofakim. A baby cries for hours because her parents are absent...Inside a house that is under siege by terrorists.

So "good and compassionate" people all over the world will soon wake up and be shocked by the pictures from Hamas propaganda. Gaza.
Make no mistake - and don't fall victim to creatures with big butts, puffy lips and small-small brains and a bunch of men in ugly suits with a lot of money...All kinds of brainless celebrities and corrupted politicians:
Gaza is a region of land that was taken captive by a murderous terrorist organization. It could have been a flourishing land, just like the settlements right next to it, on the Israeli side of the border. Israeli settlements where life flourished....until a few hours ago.

The terrorists' only goal is to bring death and destruction to those who have built a life for themselves. Because where they tread, there is no life. The value of human life for Hamas is nothing . The same for their own citizens - and for everyone else.

Tales from the sea. My favorite fairy tale book as a child. One of the legends, Italian story, tells about the longing to explore, to overcome the limitations at any cost. almost. A chilling story about a special boy and an all-powerful king who built his palace on the edge of a cliff. The end is open. Leaves an gap for interpretation and curiosity to discover.

A few days ago we had a conversation about style in men's clothing - and how I came to a rather crazy decision, I must say - to present some clothes from my brand's new collection using male models - and not women as in the past.
Beyond the gimmick (this is how I react when something becomes trendy and pops up from everywhere without having a justified reason for it other than a desire to eat)-
So beyond the gimmick I was looking for meaning.
I found (I think).
But since I'm a designer, it's easier for me to explain myself with images.
