Red-veined Darter.

A few days ago, I needed to clear my head, so I took my camera and went hiking near the 9/11 Living Memorial Plaza in the Judaean Mountains near Jerusalem. It was early in the morning, the air was clear and fresh. While enjoying the quiet, I noticed the birds and the butterflies. And then I saw it, sitting almost still on a bush.

In Hebrew, it’s called עפיפונית משוטטת (Afifonit Meshotetet), which can be translated as ‘Wandering Kite.’ What a wonderful name that describes the exact nature of this beautiful dragonfly.

There’s something undeniably cozy about a day graced with drizzle. It's not quite the downpour that beckons for boots and umbrellas, nor the clear skies that call for outdoor adventures. It's that gentle in-between, a soft whisper of rain that creates a perfect excuse to stay indoors.

Let's look forward to the time when we can surrender to the comfort of our homes, snuggled up in the coziest nook with a warm blanket wrapped around us. While we anticipate the soothing tap of raindrops against our windows, let's cherish the calm before the whispering rains begin. ☕💭

Stay cozy, my friends. Sometimes the best moments are the ones spent doing wonderfully nothing, just listening to the whispers of nature outside our windows.
