Saher Okal, a Palestinian fashion designer born in the city of Nazareth, was known from his very early teens for his creative mind and interest in the fashion world. After graduating from high school, Saher decided to follow his heart and passion so he moved to Italy where he studied fashion design, majoring in costume design and art direction at Accademia Italiana, Florence. anages his couture house from Nazareth-Palestine where every Saher Okal piece is manufactured, designing evening and bridal couture dresses. In 2017, he started showcasing his collections in the capital of luxury and glamour, Paris, during the city’s official fashion weeks. Saher makes sure to bring out the beauty and elegance in every woman who chooses to wear a Saher Okal dress by using highest quality fabrics and modern tailoring skills. This has made Saher a well known and unique fashion designer which got him selected to participate in the second season of Project runway Middle East 2017. It was presented on MBC channel with the judging committee consisting of the international fashion designer Elie Saab, the Tunisian model Afef Jnifen, and the Egyptian actress Yusra. After 3 months of non stop hard work and high competition, Saher amazed the judges with his outstanding designs and reached the finals with two other participants. With 16 different designs that were inspired by the “ Eye Print” and designed especially for the final live episode, Saher was selected to be the winner of project runway Middle East season two. Nowadays, Saher owns a fashion school called Accademia Di Moda located in the old city of Nazareth which is the first Arabic fashion school that encourages the youth to follow their passion and get into the world of fashion.
