Ecoprint Design Artist

I am an Israel-based ecoprint design artist. I am passionate about materials and colors and their ecological expression in clothing. I treasure uniquely crafted and textured pieces that I selected for my life journey. This raw passion led me to study ecoprint and to the development of unique techniques. With mother’s nature blessing, I use what the seasons bring me. Decayin

g leaves, roots, petals and barks are immortalized in my prints. As I roam the back roads of Israel, I collect raw materials left behind by people and by nature like old car parts my beloved dog Emily dug out. And in my childhood backyard I find the broken wheels from my mother’s sewing machine. I use natural or recycled fabrics, minerals and non-toxic metal rusts to create beautifully printed scarves, shirts and dresses. My one-of-a-kind ecoprint products inspire me to create a line of digital designs that exist only in my imagination. I morph colors, textures and patterns to create a whole new universe of possibilities. This is how my personal circle of life bring together my ecoprint designer present and my graphical designer past.

יובל יקר,
זוכר שניסינו בסמסטר הראשון שנת 1991 לראות את העולם קצת אחרת, לעוות אותו, אולי כי אז הכל נראה שפוי ונורמלי.
השתעשענו בהשתקפות, שיוצרים לוחות מתכת דקה, כזו שיכולנו לכופף, מראות מקומרות וקעורות. עשינו פרצופים רגע לפני ששקענו בהגשות.
שיקפנו את העבודות שעבדנו עליהן באותו זמן: אתה בנית מודל של פרויקט ארכיטקטוני ואני בניתי מודל בנושא גוף, בלימודי תקשורת חזותית.
זה היה רעיון משובח ומעניין מצחיק ועד דמעות.
ועכשיו אני רוצה מין טריק כזה שיצליח ליישר את עיוות המציאות האיומה, בה אנו חיים בשנה האחרונה.

כ100 אומנים מציגים עבודה שמייצגת תקווה. קיבלתי דגל קרוע ומרוט, מה שמייצג שחיקה, עבדתי על חיתוך עץ של עופ החול והדפסתי בכחול כהה מאד על הדגל. חוטים בצבע צהוב רמזו על כמות החטופים. חוט, 3 חוטים ועוד שלושה חוטים.
