Inspired by the Adinkra symbol AYA — the fern that represents endurance, resilience, and the strength to flourish even in difficult conditions. A tribute that felt deeply meaningful for Mother’s Day.

This ethereal Pure GI-tagged Kota Doria saree is entirely conceived and developed in-house by us — from interpreting the Aya motif into a weave-ready graph, to thoughtfully choosing the colours, designing the layout, and working closely through every stage of the weaving process.

The delicate fern-inspired motifs are woven in real silver zari, floating softly across the translucent pink weave like quiet blessings passed down through generations. Lightweight yet luminous, gentle yet enduring — much like the spirit of motherhood itself. 💗

A rare fusion where Bhujodi weave meets the timeless beauty of Ajrakh printing.

Handwoven in tussar silk warp and cotton weft, this piece carries the raw texture of the loom, while the body is adorned with Ajrakh hand block prints in natural dyes—each motif patiently layered, dyed, and revealed.

Ajrakh is not just a print—it’s a layered story told through resist, dye, and time.
Talking to Nauman khatri from Dhamadka son of Abdul Jabbar khatri one of the most prominent families practicing original Ajrak since generations.
In this reel, we explore three key steps:

SAAJ
The fabric is prepared with a base treatment using natural ingredients. This step ensures the cloth can absorb dyes evenly and deeply.

KASANO
A resist-printing stage where artisans apply a mixture (often with lime and gum) using hand-carved wooden blocks. This protects selected areas from dye.

KHARIYANU
A crucial resist process using a paste made from clay and other natural materials. It creates the signature undyed patterns that define Ajrakh.

Each step is slow, precise, and done by hand—keeping centuries-old traditions alive.

Inspired by the quiet poetry of everyday India #

On a recent visit to Patan, I found myself drawn to the charming kabootar khanas—those tall, colourful pigeon houses that dot the streets. Functional yet whimsical, they stood like living sculptures, filled with movement, rhythm, and life.

This pure Chanderi handloom saree is my interpretation of that moment.

Hand block printed by master craftsmen, the design translates those repetitive arched niches into a soft, contemporary motif—each one sheltering a bird, echoing the spirit of those structures. The palette of earthy rust, muted ochre, and gentle neutrals reflects the sun-washed textures of the town.

Light as air and rooted in tradition, this piece is where memory, craft, and storytelling come together.
